Farm in an ideal location for mountain trips even with snowshoes, skiing in nearby ski resorts only 30 minutes away, visiting the Christmas markets, walking even in winter.All year round it is possible to exercise in the outdoor climbing hall 5 minutes away. We are nestled on a hillside in a quiet and sunny area, surrounded by greenery 200 meters away from the center of the village of Cortaccia, with its shops and restaurants. Accommodation is offered in four comfortable apartments.

 

The accommodation

The apartments are furnished in typical solid wood, with comfortable sofas and corner benches, and fully equipped. The balconies offer splendid views of the surrounding vineyards and orchards.

At guests' disposal a lawn with deck chairs, a children's playground, large wine barrels, turned into playhouses, children's tent place, garden furniture, grilling equipment, tasting of home-made wines in the typical wine cellar with vaulted ceiling, built with stones from the Dolomites.

Freshspices and herbs , you can simply take from the labeled herb garden. You can taste different fruits directly from the trees around the house: cherries, blackberries, table grapes, figs, persimmons. Other fruits ripen in the orchards, and vegetables are placed in a basket where everyone can help themselves.
Juices, jams, dried fruits, lime blossoms and sweet and sour vegetables in the tray are available in the small sales corner .

Activities and surrounding

The meadow and vineyards around the house allow you to relax and get away from everyday stress. The farm is far from traffic, and children have the opportunity to enjoy ample space equipped for play.

The geographic location invites trips to the forests and vineyards, visits to swimming pools and lakes in the surrounding area, and excursions to the Dolomites, Val Gardena, Val Badia, Val di Fiemme or Val di Fassa. Recommended are trips to the alpine pastures located nearby and the famous Christmas Markets in Bolzano, Bressanone, Merano, and Sterzing.
Within 30 to 60 kilometers are numerous ski resorts. The closest are Alpe Cermis (30 min), Paganella (30 min) Lavaze Pass with Oclini and Alpe Pampeago in Cavalese in Val di Fiemme.
Directly from the house and in the surrounding area start many hiking trails suitable for all ages, and some of the trails are also walkable with a stroller.
It is possible to learn about the area's wines and viticulture thanks to the wine education trail that leads from the village center to the hamlet of Niclara
. A visit to the Cantina produttori di Cortaccia is not to be missed: enjoy the fresh white wines and red wines, or priovare the schiava grape wine, ideal for accompanying many dishes.

Trips to the bathing lakes and swimming pools in the surrounding area are recommended: Lake Caldaro with swimming pool, Lakes of Monticolo with swimming pool, Lake Favogna.

In the "Museum Man in Time" you can relive the history of the local people. The Schweiggl family has turned their farm into a museum and shows how man's life has changed over the past 10,000 years, using archaeological finds and everyday objects used in southern South Tyrol, history explained in a simple way even for children.
