The agriturismo
At 750 m altitude, amidst meadows, orchards and chestnut groves, the farmhouse enjoys stunning views of the Dolomites. The agriturismo is part of a busy farm, home to cows, calves, cats, rabbits, a rooster and hens, as well as Rolfi the guard dog.
A wealth of facilities are available upon request, from fresh bread to farm produce for sale: milk and eggs are available all year round, while vegetables, typical potatoes, herbs and fruit (strawberries, currants, gooseberries, blackberries apples, pears, plums, walnuts and chestnuts...) are seasonal and follow the rhythm of nature.
The accommodation
The apartments feature untreated solid wood furniture and floors, ceramic glass hobs, crockery and cutlery, extractor hoods, fridges and freezers, toasters, electric coffee makers, wood-burning stoves, colour TVs and radios, bed linen and towels, cots and high chairs.
The Rosa apartment features a lounge-kitchen, 2 bedrooms, balcony and bathroom with bath, shower, WC and bidet, and the Girasole apartment offers a lounge with kitchenette and sofa bed, a double bedroom with additional single bed, and a bathroom with WC, round bath, twin sinks, shower and bidet.
The large children’s play area includes a swing, a sandpit in the shade of the elderberry trees, a play house and table football.
Activities and surrounding
Guests can visit the stables and get involved on the farm, which stands in beautiful countryside, nestled in the Dolomites:Saubach, Barbiano is located at the heart of South Tyrol.The agriturismo is the ideal base for exploring nearby cities, lakes, the mountains, castles and museums.The countryside is ideal for trekking, mountain biking, Nordic walking and pleasant strolls.Bolzano, Bressanone, Merano la Val Gardena and the Seiser Alm are all within 45 minutes.For those who love to keep active, in a little over an hour you can reach the Barbiano Falls and the Dreikirchen/Tre Chiese ski resort along a selection of trails of varying levels of difficulty.
The local area also offers tourist guides and a range of interesting excursions.
