Ridanna/Gesennen, 9, Racines 39040 Racines (Bolzano)
The recently renovated Veiterhof farm is the perfect place to rediscover mountain traditions. Recently opened as a farmhouse, it is located 1380 m above sea level in the hamlet of Gesennen in the beautiful Val Ridanna in South Tyrol.
The Veiterhof is a farm with a long history and has been owned by the Klotz family for more than 200 years. In 2009 it was carefully restored, keeping intact the beautiful vaults and a wooden stube, which remain witnesses to the original character of the building.
The Veiterhof has four newly furnished apartments that will fully meet the needs of guests. Homemade products and/or fresh bread service are offered upon request. Guests will be greeted by special friendliness and can participate in the traditional way of life of the farm owners.
Guests at the Veiterhof will be able to see various animals: calves, sheep, cows providing fresh milk, chickens laying eggs for breakfast, cats and rabbits.
For the little ones, the farm has a playground with various equipment and, for adults, a large garden for sunbathing in the summer.
The region in which this farmhouse is set offers a wide choice of leisure activities. During their stay, guests can take countless walks while enjoying the landscape of an intact alpine world.
Mountaineers will spend unforgettable moments among the glaciers of the Stubaital. Ridnaun Valley and Ratschings are particularly well known outside the region for winter sports. Powdery snow, sunshine, and beautiful snowy landscapes make a winter vacation in Ridnaun Valley a unique experience.
Cross-country ski runs, an ice skating rink, snowshoeing areas, and a toboggan run are not far from the farm. A free shuttle bus takes guests to the Racines ski area.
