Most of the castles, which form a landscape constant, are privately owned, thus interdicted to visit unless specifically requested to the owners. The exception is the prestigious Thun Castle, which towers above the town of Vigo di Ton.
Itineraries
- Sanctuary of S. Romedio, reachable from Coredo in about an hour's walk through the woods: called the most impressive in Europe, it stands on a rock, at the bottom of a canyon, 90 meters high. It consists of several churches of different dates. According to the most accredited studies, the oldest part, built around the tomb of the hermit Romedius, dates from around the year 1000; but other authoritative studies anticipate the dating of the shrine and the life of the hermit saint by several centuries.
- The small lakes at Palu: Simple and striking mountain lake environment. Around: trekking trail with picnic areas; large children's playground, ravine, ecomuseum with Venetian sawmill, path to the shrine of St. Romedio and other destinations. From the village, the lakes can be reached by walking the Avenue of Dreams for about 15 minutes.
- The Coredo alpine hut: reached by driving along a mountain road for about 30 minutes. Multiple walks are possible from here, all of them flat, many of them leading to views of unforgettable views of the Adige Valley. There is also an excellent refreshment station in the malga where you can enjoy typical specialties.
- Predaia Park: has an easy ski slope and sledding area with a lift carpet, bar and solarium.
- Bragher Castle: an aristocratic residence still inhabited in the woods south of Coredo. Inside are interesting 15th-century frescoes and prestigious antique furniture and valuable art collections that add splendor to one of the best-preserved castles in Trentino.
Religious itineraries
The Non Valley is a favorite destination for religious tourism: an evocative itinerary among the signs of the sacred, which can be discovered in the thick of the woods or in the small villages that dot the valley. Among the most striking places of worship are: the Sanctuary of San Romedio, the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Senale, and the Basilica of the Holy Martyrs of Sanzeno
