The agriturismo

In the heart of the Tuscan countryside, 3 km from Cortona, the six apartments of this farmhouse have been finely restored respecting the original structures and local tradition.

 

Four lodgings are in the manor house, an old 19th-century structure enlarged during the 20th century; another 2 apartments occupy an adjacent building, the Casale del Fattore - with reception, the laundry and a common room - created from the recovery of a stable and tool shed.

The accommodation

The cottages have kept intact the original features, such as terracotta floors and ceilings with exposed wooden beams, blending tradition and modern comforts: air conditioning, satellite TV, independent heating , free Wi-Fi in all apartments and in the garden. Each apartment has a parking space in covered parking, bathroom, living room-kitchen with kitchenette and hearth or fireplace.

 

The farmhouse enjoys a beautiful view of the hill of Cortona and is surrounded by a green garden that allows each guest to have an independent outdoor dining space. The park is embellished by a beautiful swimming pool (7x14m), fully equipped with shower and solarium area, umbrellas, deckchairs and sunbeds.

 

The main house houses, on the second floor: Loggia with 2 double rooms and second bathroom; Acacias with one double, one single sofa bed. On the first floor: Oaks with one double; Cypress with two doubles.

 

The farmer's house offers 2 apartments: Ippocastano, on the second floor and with a beautiful view of Cortona, is large and comfortable; has two doubles, second bathroom, double sofa bed. Mimosa, on the ground floor, consists of a double and double sofa bed.

Activities and surrounding

Guests can visit the farm and take part in agricultural activities: planting, breeding, olive harvesting, threshing wheat in July and sunflowers in September... Sports enthusiasts can rent professional MTBs, scooters, wasps and cars to independently visit area wine cellars and art cities: Cortona (3 km) Arezzo (30 km), Castiglion Fiorentino (15 km), Montepulciano (20 km), Pienza (40 km), Montalcino (65 km), Siena (65 km), Florence (115 km), Lake Trasimeno (15 km), Perugia (50 km), Assisi (70 km), Gubbio (80 km).

The farm organizes tastings of cured meats and extra virgin olive oil (accompanied by wines from local companies), typical cooking classes and dinners.
