Tuscan estate Terra di Cortona is located in a strategic position, between the beautiful town of Cortona and Lake Trasimeno, surrounded by charming sunflower fields and the characteristic landscape of the Tuscan countryside. The farmhouse, owned by the Benelli family, consists of five spacious apartments with a history dating back to the end of the 17th century, when a noble family built it as a vacation residence. The farmhouse has a panoramic and private swimming pool. Its wonderful location, from which it is possible to admire an enchanting view of the hills rising towards Cortona, creates a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The farmhouse has been carefully furnished in a typical Tuscan rural style.

The accommodation

The Tuscan estate Terra di Cortona lies in a strategic position between the beautiful Tuscan town of Cortona and the Trasimeno lake. The farmhouse consists of five spacious apartments and has a history that goes back to the late 17th century, when a noble family built it as a holiday residence. Air conditioning is available, as well as satellite television and Internet access. In the garden of the property there is a pool with solarium, barbecue and volleyball field. All apartments have views over the Tuscan countryside surrounding the farm and the mythical town of Cortona, the pride of this panorama. The materials used in the renovation fully respect the architectural style of the Tuscan house with wooden beams, plastered and painted walls, subtly interspersed with areas of rough stone or brick and terra cotta floors. One of the main reasons for staying at this location is its favorable geographical position near some of the Tuscan highlights. The highway Siena-Pisa is reached quickly, which gives a huge freedom of movement throughout the region. The cozy villages along the Trasimeno lake, Passignano, Tuoro and Castiglione del Lago, are easy to drive to, and a visit can be combined with a day on the water. The lake is surrounded by green rolling hills, dotted with ancient castles and medieval villages. Besides the beautiful Cortona, a must, also Perugia, Arezzo, Montepulciano and Siena are within a one-hour drive. The estate is situated in the countryside of Cortona, hence the name "Terra di Cortona, which literally means: ‘land of Cortona’. The hamlet is reached via a long driveway, lined by rows of tall pine trees. In summer, the property is surrounded by sunflower fields.
