The agriturismo
Villa Chiara is located in Pergine Valdarno near Arezzo. The house was built in the 1950s and was designed by an architect influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright. It has been recently restored with modern comforts, including air conditioning for a pleasant stay even in the summer months.
The accommodation
The house is 220 sqm and is almost entirely on one level. There is a large living room with fireplace and adjoining dining room , a small study, 3 double and 2 single bedrooms. There are three bathrooms and a large kitchen, this is equipped with dishwasher, fridge with freezer and accessories including toaster, American or Italian coffee machine.
A room with another fireplace leads to the second floor where one of the doubles and a single share a bathroom.
Outside there is a large covered panoramic terrace facing west, where you can eat outside. The house is surrounded by a large fully fenced garden .
The salt water swimming pool (10m x5m) enjoys lovely views over the south-west facing hills.
Activities and surrounding
Villa Chiara is located in a strategic area for those who want to visit the most important cities of Tuscany. It is about 50 km from Florence, 15 km from Arezzo and 45 km from Siena.
Many other points of interest are within easy reach, either by car or on foot.
The village of Pergine is only a few minutes walk away (about 300 m), where there is a shop selling fruit and vegetables and various groceries, a bar, a butcher, pharmacy, post office, bank and a restaurant/pizzeria.
