The agriturismo
In the heart of Chianti, between Florence and Siena, a few steps from Barberino, the owner, Francesco, welcomes his guests with tastings of the farm's products.
The old Tuscan farmhouse, restored, is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and a large park-garden equipped with swimming pool, forest and tennis court.
The accommodation
In the heart of Chianti wine country, between Florenceand Siena, just a stone?s throw from Barberino, the owner, Francesco, welcomes his guests with tastings of the farm?s own produce.
The old Tuscan farmhouse, restored, is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and a large park-garden complete with swimming pool, woodlands and tennis court.
The farmhouse, which boasts Wi-Fi coverage, offers 3 apartments with period furniture. Each apartment, of which two are connected, has a sitting room with kitchenette or rustic kitchen, 2 double rooms, one or two bathrooms, balconies and large terraces with panoramic view of the village of Barberino Val D'Elsa or Tignano.
All of the apartments are equipped with kitchenware and linens, heating, fireplace and wood stoves, fans, TV, electric oven and microwave, hairdryer, American coffee maker, toaster etc.
A laundry-ironing room is available to guests.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is within easy reach of Barberino (at just 800 m), Florence, San Gimignano, Siena and Volterra, castles and medieval villages (within a range of max 40 km).
Besides food and wine tours to the famous towns of Castellina, Panzano and Greve in Chianti, guests can also relax inside the agriturismo in the park equipped with swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, tables and barbecue.
Guided by Francesco, who explains the processing and conservation of wine and oil, guests can visit the vineyards and the wine cellar, or watch the harvesting and pressing of oil at the local olive mill.
