The agriturismo

Fattoria di Poggiopiano is a farmhouse with organic production of evo oil and wines, for tasting and direct sale.

Just 7 km from the historic center of Florence, it is located in the green hills overlooking the Arno valley, among olive groves and vineyards, exposed to the sun. Ideally located for visiting the major centers of cultural and artistic interest in Tuscany, such as the Via Chiantigiana that crosses the entire Chianti area; the Casentino National Park, Lucca, Pisa and Arezzo. Ideal for the tourist looking for a cultural vacation but also of enogastronomic interest and certainly relaxing, in the green Tuscan countryside.

A fabulous panoramic swimming pool is available to guests in the summertime.

The accommodation

Fattoria di Poggiopiano offers different types of apartments (from 2 to 10 people), on a bed and breakfast or bed and breakfast basis.

Theapartments and rooms are located in a typical Tuscan farmhouse dating back to 1650 and in the adjoining barn, renovated with the 'intent to preserve the charming rustic appearance of the past, so that guests of the farmhouse can enjoy the flavor of life "of yesteryear."

All rooms are heated, each room has its own private bathroom and some apartments also have a fireplace, for pleasant evenings in complete relaxation, in front of the fire and a good bottle of wine.

All rooms have private bathrooms; the apartments, even the smaller ones, are equipped with a kitchenette that allows those who want to totally indulge in the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside to independently prepare quick dishes based on typical local products, available in the area.

Tastings are organized, conducted by the producer himself, of the farm's products: wines, extra virgin olive oil and grappa from Chianti grapes, with direct sales.

By reservation: rafting, canoeing in the Arno River with pecorsi all the way under Florence's Ponte Vecchio, yoga classes in the pool or garden

The Farm is a privileged base from which to visit the major centers of cultural and artistic interest in Tuscany: the Via Chiantigiana, which crosses the entire Chianti area; the state road to the Consuma Pass, which leads into the Casentino National Park; and the highway exit for Lucca, Pisa and Arezzo is 6 km away (45'- 1 hour by car).
A city bus, moreover, with a terminus at the village below (1 km), with departures every 15 minutes, makes it easy to reach, avoiding the problem of parking, the historic center of Florence and Fiesole, the Careggi Hospital Pole, and the Fortezza da Basso Fairgrounds.

Restaurants, in the surrounding area, offer typical Tuscan dishes.

Hilly paths with views of the Arno Valley and Florence offer the possibility of stupendous walks, also by mountain bike, which can be rented nearby.

The international 18-hole Ugolino Golf Course is 15 km away, theMugello racetrack is a 45' drive, and the Casentino Natural Park is an hour away.

For lovers of "designer" shopping,The Mall Outlet can be reached in 30'.
