The agriturismo
Il Palagetto farmhouse and agritourism is located 3km from the Florence center, in the south-west area of the city. The area is characterized by a copious amount of beech trees and wonderful hills, strewn with magnificent palaces and ancient mansions. The premises are spacious and full of light , with a magnificent view on the surrounding countryside . Fields, in fact, surround the house, although it is situated in the near proximity of the city. The historical center of Florence is easily reachable in 10 minutes by bus, and the closest bus stop is only 200m (218 yards) from the agritourism. Cars may be easily parked in front of the main entrance.
The accommodation
On the first floor of the fully renovated farmhouse there are 3 guest rooms and one apartment. The accommodation enjoys views of the surrounding countryside. Bellosguardo room is even named after the view which it offers: typical Tuscan landscape on one side, and the farm’s small lemonary on the other; the Marignolle room owes its name to the hills it looks on to, which were once home to Francesco de' Medici’s villa. Poccetti is a single room named after the sixteenth century painter, who also gave his name to the road the agriturismo stands on, and the Aria Famiglie room is the farm’s family option, which combines Marignolle and Poccetti with a shared bathroom.
There is a large shared lounge with an open fireplace and sofa, and an additional room for enjoying breakfast and relaxing.
The Krisar apartment, enjoying stunning views, is named after the owner of the entire area in which the farm stands. It includes a double bedroom, spacious lounge with sofa bed, a smaller lounge with TV and balcony, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.
