The agriturismo
The farm is located in the Chianti area, a few kilometers from the village of Montespertoli. Surrounded by the rolling Tuscan hills, the property with its vineyards and ancient olive grove has been managed by the Giovannelli family for three generations. We produce Chianti wines, IGT and extra virgin olive oil.
The accommodation
The renovation of the farmhouse, which was the home of the sharecroppers, has resulted in 7 apartments furnished in rustic style, with a large living room with fireplace and private outdoor space with table and chairs for dining in the garden, while the Chapel of San Giorgio, now deconsecrated, has been transformed into an inn, an elegant villa with 15 bedrooms with enchanting views of the valleys and towers of San Gimignano. In the Inn is available our restaurant to reserve breakfast buffet, a light lunch or dinner classic Tuscan. Tables in the garden with beautiful views of our vineyards and the hills of Chianti.
Direct sale of farm products: our Chianti and Igt wines and extra virgin olive oil. On request guided wine and oil tastings, with visits to the farm and the cellar.
Activities and surrounding
At the Fonti a San Giorgio we have been producing wine and oil for three generations, respecting traditions and nature. We are happy to share our experience with our guests and we organize tours of the farm and the winery with guided tastings of our products, Chianti wines, IGT and extra virgin olive oil.
At our restaurant in the Locanda we offer classic Tuscan cuisine with particular attention to the quality products of the area and the seasons.
Lovers of sport and nature can enjoy wonderful walks along the paths that cross our woods in the hills, our vineyards and olive groves in the typical landscape of Florentine Chianti. Our guests love to relax in the sunshine in the quiet garden and swim in the two swimming pools open all day long.
In the garden there is a bowling alley, a table tennis table, as well as a slide and swing for children. In addition, a few kilometers away there are tennis courts, five-a-side football, golf and some stables.
