The agriturismo

Within an estate of 200 ha of woods, fields, vineyards and olive groves is the ancient complex of Villa Avanella, including the traditional country mansion, the typical Tuscan barn and, about 100 mt. away, 4 apartments made out of the characteristic Tuscan rural schools.

Outside the buildings guests can enjoy the furnished garden, the 2 swimming pools: one 10 x 20 mt, with sun shower located near the villa and the barn, the other 9 x 4 mt located near the apartments, 2 brick barbecues and the laundry room.

There is a private parking area.

Free wifi around the villa, the barn, the large pool and around the smaller apartments.

The buildings are furnished in the classic style of Tuscan villas. Several housing solutions are available to guests:

Apartment Villa Avanella 1, located on the second floor of the villa: accessed thanks to two independent entrances; terracotta floor and ceilings with wooden beams; 3 double bedrooms, 1 double bedroom with single bed, 2 twin bedrooms connected by wooden staircase, living room with stone fireplace, large kitchen, dishwasher, 4 bathrooms with shower, TV SAT.

Apartment Villa Avanella 2 on the ground floor of the villa: independent entrance, terracotta floor, ceilings with wooden beams and brick vault, living room, large kitchen with dishwasher, 3 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms with independent entrances, 3 bathrooms with shower.

Apartment Villa Avanella 1, on the second floor, and apartment Villa Avanella 2, on the ground floor, can be connected by an internal wooden staircase.

ApartmentFienile: apartment on the upper floor of the barn, where the characteristic external slits, terracotta floor, wooden beams and wrought iron chandeliers have been preserved, 2 double bedrooms and, in the large living room with dining area, 1 double sofa bed, 1 bathroom with shower.

Activities and surrounding

The Villa Avanella complex is located on a large private property rich in game, pheasants, deer, hares, wild rabbits, with a large lake, where guests can take beautiful walks in the Tuscan countryside. Upon reservation and at no cost, escorted walks can be arranged.

In Certaldo Alto, between July 12 and 16, the International Street Theater Festival (Mercantia) is organized.

The complex is about 4 km from Certaldo, where all kinds of stores can be found, 8 km from Poggibonsi, 10 km from Barberino Val d'Elsa, 15 km from San Gimignano, 30 km from Siena , and 40 km from Florence.
