The agriturismo
The farmhouse with spacious outdoor areas and a beautiful swimming poolis located in the hills of the Tuscan Maremma, near the Terme di Saturnia spa.
The property wasalready in the early 1900s used as a stopover for wayfarers shuttling from the flat, marshy areas near the sea to the hills and mountains.
The dominant notes of these hills are deep green in spring and golden yellow in summer, interrupted here and there by olive groves and vineyards but mostly by oak and ornelli forests where sheep and cattle farms insist.
The accommodation
"Sosta Antica" is a typical rural building consisting of two structures whose six rooms have a bathroom (accessible), heating, air conditioning, TV, small kitchen (which can be used for tasting cold dishes or warming soups for children).
Also available is a garden with deck chairs, tables and chairs, and car parking.
Since last year a charging station for electric cars has been installed.
Activities and surrounding
The family-run farm covers an area of 20 hectares with the production of cereals, vineyard, olive grove and breeding of sheep and horses.
Staying on the farm means living in the quiet of nature with its many views where guests can go hiking and mountain-biking following paths bordering it.
Bicycles can be rented directly on the farm.
Guests can participate in farm life especially during the olive harvesting period, following the path of the olives from the field to the milling, which takes place over 24 hours.
The property is near theTerme di Saturnia spa and in the center of the most important necropolis of lower Tuscany, from Sovana, Vulci to Ghiaccio Forte. 30 km away is Lake Bolsena and 45 km away we have the town of Civita di Bagnoregio. Also nearby is the town of Pitigliano and Sorano.
Sports facilities: gyms, soccer field and tennis courts in Manciano, indoor swimming pool in Pitigliano.

We take care of: we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to keep the family business alive which led me to run an agriturismo.
