The agriturismo

With the same care that is devoted to the production of oil and wine, Orciaverde offers accommodation in 2 buildings, "Antico Casale" in stone and a small "Dependance" completely independent, offering spectacular views of one of the most beautiful areas in Tuscany: Montalcino, Castelnuovo dell'Abate, Castello Banfi, all just minutes away.

The accommodation

The farmhouse is located next to the main house where the family resides, an ideal solution that allows you to combine privacy thanks to the independence of the apartments, but with the supervision of the owners.

The farmhouse is composed of an old stone farmhouse and a small dependance completely independent that offer the spectacular panorama of one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany: Montalcino, Castel Nuovo dell'Abate, Castello Banfi.

Antico Casale consists of 3 apartments all on the ground floor and with independent entrances:

(sleeps 4): 3-room apartment 70 sq. m. with: living/dining room with fireplace, sofa and satellite TV, bedroom with 2 beds (double on request), 1 double bedroom with small terrace overlooking Montalcino and the Val d'Orcia, kitchen (4 hotplates, oven, fridge, dishwasher) with dining table, 1 bathroom with shower.

In the basement of theAntico Casale there is a room of about 100 square meters with fireplace for tastings and dinners, ping-pong table, board games and reading room.
On request it is possible to taste typical Maremma and Tuscan dishes accompanied
by our organic olive oil and Montecucco doc wine and the traditional spelt soup in winter or spelt salad in summer, prepared with organic Orciaverde spelt
. Guests can use the communal washing machine.

Depandance: 2 room apartment 40 sqm with living/dining room with sofa and satellite tv, kitchen (4 hotplates, fridge, dishwasher), bathroom with shower, air conditioning. Outside there is ample parking, garden and possibility to cook outside with barbecue.

Activities and surrounding

Between Tuscan Maremma and Amiata on Grosseto side of Orcia river, you can find the farm where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing holiday, deep in the greenery of the countryside, breathing pure air and admiring the lovely hilly landscape. Here you could simply walk, red, sunbathing ping-pong or riding mountain bikes that we will be glad to place at your disposal. Fishing will be nice, also only for fun, on the banks of Orcia, reachable on foot through a way on the greenery, all inside our estate.

The central position where our farm is situated allows us in a few minutes to reach the slope of Siena to visit the delightful villages of Montalcino, S. Antimo, Siena, pienza, S. Gimignano, S. Quirico d'Orcia. In only 30 minutes you reach the near thermal waters of Petriolo, in 40 minutes you will arrive at bagno Vignoni spa or in the well-known but farer Saturnia, on the way taking the opportunity to visit the cities of tufa Sovana and Pitigliano. In only 20 minutes you could admire the beauty of the Etruscan necropolis of Roselle, then continuing to reach our cost: 20 minutes more are sufficient to admire Uccellina park and Alberese, one of the most beautiful and purer beaches of our Tuscany. Not to forget the bathing resorts Porto Ercole, Porto S. Stefano but also Punta Ala or Castiglione della Pescaia, all no more far than 50 minutes. Instead for mountains lovers, you can visit the numerous little villages on Amiata.

Dear Althoff,

we are really sorry to read such a comment, which was probably just a pretext for you to harm our image.

We are always available to solve problems, as we reside in the company, although discreetly so as not to invade the customer's space. At the reception you found the owner, my husband, and our daughter.
Moreover, the owner is often around, as it is a farm to be managed all round.

We wrote in the information of the accommodation that we do not provide the mocha coffee maker and this is because, in the past, tourists used them improperly, literally devastating them, pulverizing all the machines we gave as well as the fires.
This led us to remove them from the apartments. However, we have remedied this with capsule machines, the supply of which is about 3 km away.
Also, reading the information, some tourists bring their own personal mocha machines from home.

The oven replaces the toaster oven for making bread crispy. Then, available are dishwasher, refrigerator, and for cooking there is everything you need, including bread knife. Anything you would have needed in addition, if you had asked for it, we would have provided it anyway.
The glasses are a suitable number for the number of adults, as minors do not drink wine. Again, we could have added them if you had asked.
The door sometimes slides less because it is made of wood and is subject to moisture and can swell, but in any case it opens regularly all the time.

There are 2 terraces available, a large one with a 6/8 table with 4 chairs, a smaller terrace with a small round table and 2 chairs.
WiFi unfortunately in the countryside is slow, as fiber does not arrive. On this point we cannot do otherwise.

You kept garbage in the apartment for 5 days giving as an explanation, "We didn't know where to throw it." You could have asked for that as well.
The only reason you contacted us was inherent in a matter of price, which you then did not mention in this comment, since the responsibility
of carelessness was in that case yours.

Overall, we were really sorry to read all this after the fact and not have had a chance to do anything about it during your stay, as none of this was pointed out while you were staying with us.
