The agriturismo

In the Maremma Park, a stone’s throw from the sea, the ideal place for a relaxing break filled with vibrant colours and the restful rhythms of nature.

The Maremma Park is a wild and unspoilt setting in which visitors will find animals roaming freely, the mouth of the Ombrone river, the spectacular Grand Ducal pine forest, the calcareous ridge of the Uccellina Mountains and dense Mediterranean shrubland interspersed with medieval towers.

The accommodation

The agriturismo offers guest apartments with bathrooms, kitchenettes, air conditioning, TVs, and private parking. In more detail:

- Girasole: this apartment comprises of a spacious veranda, lounge, double sofa bed, a double bedroom and a garden.

- Begonia Uno is a two-room apartment with two double beds and an independent entrance.

- Begonia Due offers an enclosed garden (ideal for pets), a veranda with tables and chairs for dining outdoors, a double bedroom and bunk beds to sleep two.

 

The swimming pool is completely enclosed, and surrounded by a beautiful English lawn with tables, loungers, a shower, gazebo and a little wooden summer house.

 

The restaurant offers a half board package, with menus comprising of dishes prepared using zero mile Tuscan ingredients and a selection of the farm's own homemade and home-grown produce (pasta, bread and desserts, vegetables and meat), available for guests to enjoy in the indoor lounge or outside on the veranda with views of the pastures where the horses graze,

Activities and surrounding

Within the agritourism farm, 5 flat hectares are occupied by the riding school , which offers: riding lessons for beginners and competitive riders (all disciplines), for children from 4 years old (saddle baptism) with individual or group lessons conducted by F.I.S.E. federal instructors.

For those who want to take their horses on vacation, it is possible to rent outdoor boxes or paddocks and conduct internships with second-level instructors. It is also possible to organize horseback rid es within the Uccellina Park even for beginners.

In the surroundings of the farmhouse through bicycle paths or trails dedicated to trekking you can visit parks and forests such as the wild Uccellina Park.

For nature lovers eager to get to know in a fun and curious way a wild and still untouched corner of the Maremma, the canoe route on the waters of the Ombrone River is a 'unique and unforgettable opportunity.

For the more experienced mountain bikers, the Maremma to Monte Argentario offers MTB enthusiasts one of the richest areas of tracks and trails in central Italy. The Parco dell'Uccellina in the lower Maremma Toscana in the Talamone area has many technical trails for enduro downhill or easier as cross country.

In addition, it is possible to learn about medieval villages (Manciano, Montemerano, Pitigliano,...), Etruscan tombs, museums, and the famous Terme di Saturnia that are located in the neighboring areas.
