The agriturismo
Located in an excellent position, in front of the Maremma National Park, the agriturismo complex offers both rooms and apartments units with equipped external spaces, barbecue and swimming pool, allowing a pleasant stay both near the sea side or next to locations rich in culture and tradition.
The accommodation
The rooms and the independent apartment units, the trussed ceilings, the "cotto" floors, the porch, the pergola, the gardens rich in Mediterranean scents and the great olive trees that surround the entire resort, are immersed in the green atmosphere of the real land of Maremma.
The apartments are constituted by a double room in which it is also possible to add a single bed, the bathroom and living room with a kitchen corner provided with kitchenware and other accessories. The rooms are double bed with the possibility of adding an extra bed and have private restrooms.
Available for guests is a new breakfast lounge, intended for those boarded in rooms but prepared for anyone that requests it even if lodged in the apartment units. All that is served is self produced in the complex, like the cherished sweets and biscuits.
The wide gardens around the complex offer relaxing areas ideal for book reading or for preparing a meal in front of the barbecue and savoring it under the shade of a gazebo or of the olive trees.
The swimming pool allows those who do not wish to exit the complex to refresh themselves and fully enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside.
Activities and surrounding
The resort is located in front of the Uccellina hills of the Maremma Natural Park approximately 10 Km south of Grosseto. Its excellent position allows for an assorted choice of vacation styles, of cultural interest, of landscapes or purely recreational.
The sea is only a 10/15 minutes drive away, where Marina di Alberese is located, one of the most beautiful beaches of the coastline and inside the park. Its natural and wild aspect make it the perfect choice for lovers of beaches free of bathing establishments, houses or cement. The other beach locations, which are just as famous like Argentario, Telamono, Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala are about a 30 minutes drive away.
With a drive not over 40 minutes it is possible to reach archeological sites of the etruscan and roman era like Sorano and Sovana in the south or Populonia in the splendid Baratti bay (UNESCO heritage) in the north.
Within a close distance it is possible to reach the Saturnia thermal baths that remain open all year long thanks to the recent enlargement and restructuring of its pools.
The big cities are also easily reached in a day's tour since they are not over a two hour drive distance, like Rome or Florence, and not to be missed are little centers as well like Pienza, Montalcino, San Gimignano which represent the essence of this region.
For those that so desire, the complex can rent horse excursions even for beginners inside the park (excluding during June, July and August for safety reasons related to possibility of fires) in the open country side. Furthermore, it is also possible to do canoe trips on the Ombrane river, rent bikes and engage in trekking.
For nature lovers the park offers the possibility of crossing botanical or faunal itineraries along the slopes of the Uccellina hills up to the beach; it is also possible to rent excursions for night birdwatching accompanied by the park rangers.
