The agriturismo
In the middle of the Grosseto Maremma, the Agriturismo il Giglio di S. Antonio has a familiar, comfortable and refined atmosphere.
Immersed in the peace and silence of meadows, orchards, vineyards and olive groves (all organically grown), the structure is welcoming and has a swimming pool open allyear round.
It has four newly built apartments, furnished with care and able to offer you days of complete relaxation. The accommodations are all in different styles and colors, air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi, independent entrance and garden, cooking area, living room and bedrooms with bathroom.
The accommodation
The farmhouse has four bright and colorful apartments with a rustic design (wooden ceilings with exposed beams and wrought iron beds). They all have a large independent garden with a barbecue, tables and chairs.
In the external environment, which is framed by farmyard animals, guests will find many other comforts such as a large garden with swimming pool and large fenced-in areas for children, who can play peacefully and far from any danger.
The farm offers the possibility to organize birthdays, baptisms, communions and weddings using a cateringservice . The farm has an agreement with a restaurant serving Maremma cuisine with typical products 500 meters away.
Activities and surrounding
It is possible to make excursions or trips in the vicinity and visit the Etruscan villages of Vetulonia and Roselle (and the finds in the Archaeological Museum of Grosseto) and the medieval towns of Montemassi, Roccatederighi, Sticciano and Roccastrada.
At 25 km Massa Marittima with its medieval buildings overlooking the main square where the cathedral stands (XI century). Not to be missed is the Balestro del Girifalco, a challenge with costumed re-enactments of the flag-wavers. Monte Amiata is half an hour away by car. Less than 50 km away is the Maremma Natural Park with the mouth of the Ombrone river. At 70 km Siena and surroundings (San Gimignano, Monteriggioni). The farmhouse is part of the "Strada del vino DOC Monteregio di Massa Marittima".
The sea and the beaches of the Grosseto coast are just a few kilometers away: Marina di Grosseto, Principina a Mare, Marina di Alberese to the south, Castiglione della Pescaia and Follonica to the north (all Blue Flag).
You can embark for the Island of Elba, Giglioand all the smaller islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.
