The agriturismo
Behind the medieval town of Magliano in Toscana, amidst green meadows and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, Le Siepi is a quiet place that enjoys an excellent position, only a stone’s throw from the sea and the most beautiful sights in Tuscany.
The agritourism centre is at the heart of a family-run farm of around 20 hectares, producing the typical crops of the area, and in particular PGI extra-virgin olive oil, and DOC and IGT wine.
The accommodation
Accommodation is in converted old warehouses and tool stores; there are four double bedrooms, all with independent entrances, en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, furnished simply but with an attention to detail, each with different colours.
The farm has a communal room with a kitchen where a buffet breakfast is served, with home-made jams, biscuits, yogurt, local ricotta with toast, fruit and fresh fruit salad.
A large portico looks out over the garden with a swimming pool for use by the guests.
Dinner, served in the dining room or in the portico is a moment to savour local dishes prepared mainly with the farm’s products or those sourced from nearby farms, and accompanied by a good morellino wine. Among the specialities, delicious starters, tagliatelle with wild boar ragù, typical Maremma tortelli, bread soup, braised wild boar and grilled meat, strictly produced on site. And to finish, delicious desserts.
Activities and surrounding
Immersed in 20 hectares of countryside, the farm is the ideal starting point for long walks; you can sunbathe by the pool in peace, or in just 15 minutes, you can drive to the nearest beach.
Nearby there is a golf course, stables, and a diving centre, but especially the sea of Talamone and Argentario.
Around half an hour’s drive away there are the famous spa baths of the Terme di Saturnia and the historic towns of Sovana and Sorano, as well as the atmospheric Pitigliano.
Nearby there is also the Parco dell'Uccellina and Tuscany’s most beautiful cities of art, such as Siena, Pisa and Florence, easy to reach by car or train.
