The agriturismo
In a dominant position on the Ombrone River, Podere Santo Stefano returns to offer hospitality to travelers, as did the convent that stood here in the 16th century. The Podere is now the ideal place for a relaxing stay in the quiet of the greenest Maremma, but also for a pleasant dinner or a snack in the countryside. The raw materials used are km 0. Our specialty is Cinta Senese meat, which comes from our DOP-certified farm.
The accommodation
The agriturimo consists of eight rooms and two apartments. Four rooms are located on the second floor of the dentral body of the facility, while the other four are arranged on the ground floor. Two of these were obtained from the old pigsty and are completely independent. The restaurant hall seats about fifty people inside. In fine weather, tables are arranged in the outdoor canopy and on the large lawn adjacent to the dining hall. The meeting room is located in the main building on the second floor, can opsit about thirty people and is complete with a bathroom and a large fireplace. Also present is a billiard room and library.
Activities and surrounding
The farmhouse is located 40 minutes from the sea and 15 minutes from Mount Amiata. Is located on the wine road of montecucco. Nearby, just 20km away is Montalcino home of Brunello and the beginning of the val d'orcia, typical tuscan countryside famous for its landscapes the wines and its historic villages. For those who want to relax in the farmhouse, you will find a large pool area, a billiard room and unspoiled nature in which to take beautiful walks.
