The agriturismo

Sasseta Alta remains closed for seasonal rest from December 12, 2022 to March 10, 2023

Just 3 km from Scansano, introduced by an unpaved road, the farm (60 hectares) accommodates in 7 rooms and 2 apartments, set in 4 stone farmhouses.

There is a wellness center equipped with an indoor heated body-temperature pool, whirlpool and waterfall.

Shiatsu, watsu, reflexology and lymphatic drainage treatments are offered.

 

The accommodation

The interiors of the lodgings are embellished with paintings by Dalila Chessa. The renovation respected the original materials, inserting ethernet outlet (cable provided) and Wi-Fi in the common room.

The bio-restaurant serves buffet dishes made with products from the synergistic organic garden, orchard, olive grove (5 hectares), and greenhouse, all accompanied by local wines, such as Morellino.

In the multipurpose room, sessions of gymnastics, stretching, yoga, meditation are organized.

Outside, the grass and wood terrace is ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities. The farm hosts conferences and workshops. The bathing biolago has chlorine-free water, cleaned by phytodepuration. Next to it is the Theater on the Water, a stone arena where performances and events are held.

Activities and surrounding

The estate enjoys a peaceful location, the ideal place for excursions on foot or by bike, as well as tours along the Morellino di Scansano wine route.

 

40 km takes you to the sea at Orbetello, leading on to the Argentario coast with its ancient towns, such as Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole, and crystal clear waters. La Feniglia is just a short distance away, a nature park with a pine forest and beach. Visitor can hire boats to explore the coves and the islands of Giannutri and Giglio. Further south you’ll find Capalbio with its Giardino dei Tarocchi (The Tarot Garden).

 

Marina di Alberese (35 km), Talamone, Marina di Grosseto, Principina Mare, the Uccellina nature park, the Saturnia spa centre (37°  sulphur springs) and the Petriolo spa centre are all easily accessible.
