The agriturismo

An historic farmhouse surrounded by the peace and quiet of the Tuscan hills, just outside Massa Marittima (1 km from the centre) and a short distance from the sea at Follonica.

The farm produces extra virgin olive oil which guests can sample directly on-site.

The accommodation

Guest accommodation is provided in three apartments (2-5 beds) with lounge-kitchens and bathrooms.

Other facilities include a chlorine-free swimming pool, satellite TV, Wi-Fi internet connection, a barbecue, and wide green spaces.

 

Activities and surrounding

The agriturismo provides mountain bikes for excursions along the region's many pathways. There are also guides available for enjoyable days exploring the green woodland. Guests can discover the beauty of the Maremma on horseback, or enjoy outdoor yoga with a specialist instructor who also speaks English.

Or why not simply relax and do nothing at all, except sample local wines, oil and cheeses of course? Guests can also visit the region’s wine cellars, or explore Siena, Grosseto and Pisa, which are all easily accessible.

I have been managing Stella di Maremma - Agriturismo since 2012 along with my wife.

As well as we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops.

I decided to manage an agriturismo because to give my children a better life
