Third jewel in the crown of Scarlino's Be Vedetta, Vedetta Lodges is the first Maremman country camp-site to become a truly 5 star experience. Glamping, or glamorous camping, is the latest fashion in open air holidays: direct contact with nature with all the comforts of a luxury suite.

The accommodation

This glamping site is situated on the south east ridge of Poggio La Forcola and offers 7, over 50 square metre sized, suites furnished lovingly with great care all including a hanging portico and an en-suite bathroom. Three of the lodges overlook the medieval town of Scarlino with views stretching out over forests and countryside while the other four overlook the sea and Elba and Corsica. The tents are all named after the Pleiades, the seven mythological sisters who are also a group of stars in the Taurus constellation and guide those at sea to safety. And it is no longer the right time to put ships to sea on the dark seas..."* * Hesiod, Works and Days, v. ] ****The Lodges***** The Lodges Sleeping with the sound of leaves rustling in the wind, treating yourself to our large feather pillows in a gigantic, four square metre bed - this is what Vedetta Lodges offers those looking for a chance to stay in a suite suspended in olive groves used to make an organic extra virgin olive oil. The views of the sea or the village from each tent are breathtaking and the site is in the midst of a verdant natural environment in a part of the Maremma which is still largely wild. Nature and comfort are indissolubly linked here to give those choosing this land the charm of a great variety of flora and fauna and hospitality of the highest level. The Merope, Elettra, Celeno and Maia suites overlook the coast at the Scarlino marina and Piombino in the direction of Elba and Corsica while Sterope, Taigete and Alcione overlook the town of Scarlino and the valley below Gavorrano. Each lodge has its own en-suite bathroom with a large glass shower cabin, toiletry set and professional hair-dryer with diffuser. Tents have independent air conditioning/heating for both winter and summer use, a 32" HD TV with decoder for international channels and WI-FI and telephone linked with the Relais Vedetta reception.

Room service breakfast When you wake up you'll find a wonderful hamper with all the ingredients you need to make your own breakfast in the lounge area of your tent or on the terrace. There is a mini bar, kettle and espresso and cappuccino machine in every tent. All produce is fresh, organic and locally made. Naturally you can also request products for celiacs, vegetarians or vegans.
