The agriturismo

The agriturismo is characterised by a homely, intimate environment, where guests will be welcomed in cosy rooms, furnished in typical Tuscan style. The agriturismo is located in Bolgheri, a short distance from the sea and hills, with great weather all year round, little rain and plenty of sunshine. For this reason, the owners decided to install photovoltaic panels to meet the energy needs of the building in order to respect the environment and be even more in tune with nature that surrounds us.

The accommodation

The farmhouse is a farmhouse dating back to 1897, used by Count Walfredo Fazio della Gherardesca to go hunting.


The farmhouse has been restored keeping the original features, with the old cross vaults and completely furnished in Tuscan style, simple, intimate and warm.

The farmhouse consists of 6 rooms, breakfast room and large park with swimming pool.

On the upper floor there are 3 rooms furnished according to local taste and style: all with air conditioning, private bathroom and provided with the necessary linen. Number 2 and 3 are large and cozy to accommodate families or small groups.

Outside there are 2 more rooms, with separate entrances also suitable for pet owners.

The latest addition is number 7, directly above the pool with a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and vineyards.

 

Activities and surrounding

The villageof Bolgheri, 5 km from the agriturismo, is reached by following the Viale dei Cipressi, a road lined with cypress trees, made famous by Giosuè Carducci.
8 km away is the old town of Castagneto Carducci, famous for its food festivals and theatre performances as well as for its sea (Blue Flag) and beaches.

For groups of at least 6 people, if booked, the following can be organised:
- guided tours of the Bolgheri wineries and Castagneto oil mills
- plane trips (two-seater aircraft)
- bike rides
- wellness packages at nearby centres

For children, the “Il Cavallino Matto” theme park is 8 km away and 10 km away is a small zoo, “Parco Gallorose”.
