The agriturismo

La Torre wine resort is located in the charming town of Montecarlo, an ancient medieval village nestled in the beautiful Tuscan hills in the province of Lucca. It has rooms and apartments of various sizes, as well as a large swimming pool open exclusively to guests of the structure. There is also a wine cellar with its own production of organic and vegan wines. External restaurant adjacent to the structure with typical dishes of the Lucca tradition.

 

The accommodation

The resort can be booked with on time availability in its official website www.latorrewineresort.it, it is located on the way for Montecarlo (awarded by the "Touring Club Italiano" with its orange flag, which recognizes excellent town local hinterland"), extends on an area of about 13 hectares and has an incredible panoramic view. The structure has been restructured recently, offers to its guests the possibility to stay in one of its 9 apartments (of 2 or 6 beds), or in the 6 rooms about to be completed.

The wine cellar of the resort has been relocated in the original rooms, but completely renewed with the introduction of the most sophisticated instruments for the wine production; it is also available for guests a restaurant-wine bar, a swimming pool outside with an innovative cleaning system with ozone, panoramic balcony, Jacuzzi, play ground, barbecue zone and huge out spaces. It is also possible to arrange some excursions with horses and mountain bike, guided visits of the villas in Lucca and tasting trip of the biological production of the resort.

Activities and surrounding

The geographical collocation of the resort makes it easy to be reached from turistic places like Lucca and Montecatini Terme (15 km.), Pisa (30 km.), Firenze (60 km.), and it is only 30km far from the sea of Versilia. It is also pretty close to town of Garfagnana and from the luxurious villas of Lucca will offer to its guests innumerable places to visit. Montecarlo, in province of Lucca, is a little capital of wine and its fame runs across centuries: the stronghold and surrounding hills had the name of “vivinaia”, name of the zone of supply for the Roman markets of wine.

The historical center, well preserved and still surrounded by a beautiful wall of bricks, is on an isolated hill. All around, on the surrounding hills, there are the cultivations for the production of the Montecarlo D.O.C., of oil and flowers: the Market of September, which shows the best of these local productions, is enriched by many events and local attractions, which every year recall many companies and fans as well.

Dear customer. Unfortunately, we weren't surprised by your review!
You found a party on your arrival, but as we have told you over and over again it was an isolated episode in fact the other nights you spent here were quiet and serene as usually happens.
The management of the restaurant has intervened as you requested and in fact after 11.00 am the music has been significantly lowered. I can't have people talking!
Breakfast: every morning we have fresh pastries and cakes of pastries and baked bread, not dry but Tuscan and well cooked. Fresh fruit every day, not in season because as I said personally, the bad weather has not allowed in Tuscany and Italy, the collection of fruit in the usual time.
I would also like to suggest that you behave more correctly in front of people in the future in the places you will be attending.
