The agriturismo

Surrounded by planted fields and chestnut groves, 600 m from the town of Verni, the agriturismo boasts a convenient location for reaching the quaint village of Gallicano, with amenities and shops, and the tourist areas of Lucca and the Alta Garfagnana.

The accommodation

5 apartments have been created from the renovation of old huts, once used as stables and tool sheds. Spartan and quiet, they recall rural life and feature a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, double and twin bedrooms and independent heating.

Activities and surrounding

The agriturismo is located in a panoramic position: on one side framed by the Pania della Croce and Pania Secca mountains, overlooking the village of Vergemoli, on the other side the view of the city of Barga and the Apennines with their often snow-capped peaks.

The Garfagnana is a small paradise for those who love contact with nature and adventure: the area has many trails that lead to the discovery of the Apuan Alps with varying levels of difficulty.

Places to visit include the small medieval villages and, about 20 minutes away, the Grotta del Vento cave where enthusiastic speleologists and curious visitors can venture into the heart of the Pania mountains. For children, there are two new parks: “Selva del Buffardello” and “Parco del Levigliese”.

I have been doing this job for 18 years along with my husband.
We take care of: we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to meet new and interesting people all the time which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests especially appreciate the warm family welcome.
