The agriturismo
Family owned for over half a century, Podere la Piana is located on a private mountain in the picturesque Tuscan countryside.
Just a short hike from the charming medieval town of Fivizzano, this fabulously preserved, original stucco farmhouse is within a day trip's proximity to all of the delights that Tuscany has to offer. From the vineyard dappled hills of the lush countryside to the beautiful seaside destinations of the Mediterranean, such as Cinque Terre, La Spezia, & the Gulf of Versilia.
The historically rich sites of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, & the Marble Caves of Carrara can easily be reached by car or by train with plenty of time to enjoy them and find yourself at home again, in the comfort of well furnished suites, before the sun sets.
The accommodation
Our guests will be hosted in a 100 mq. apartment on two floors, with two bedrooms with private bathrooms, kitchen, two living rooms with fireside and a comfortable sofa bed for two people.
The farm has a beautiful garden with barbecue and a stunning view on the Apuane Alps. Guests are welcome to pick up fruits and vegetables on their own. You can find mountain bikes at the farm and horse riding place is at just 5 km.
Activities and surrounding
Guests are free to explore the grounds of this stunning mountainside B&B.
The farm has a territory of 30 hectares, most of which is covered by Turkey oak wood and the other is cultivated with grape, olive trees, fruits trees and vegetable fields.
The cultivation's method is “ biodynamic” that according to the philosopher Rudolf Steiner, father of the anthroposophy a study on the connection between men and cosmic forces, could improve the quality and vitality of the products.
The farm has also a lovely garden and a large BBQ.
The interesting surroundings of Lunigiana are in Tuscany marble quarry of Carrara, Versilia, Lucca, Pisa, Siena, and Florence, instead in Liguria the harbour of La Spezia with Lerici and Portovenere , le 5 Terre, Santa Margherita, Rapallo , Portofino and Genova.

We had a great stay at the Agriturismo. If you are looking for value for money and a large swimming pool this is the place to be. Only remark is the number of flies at the location. But, let's be honest. When you don't want any insects don't go to the country site.
