Agriturismo Al Palazzaccio

Al Palazzaccio is a cottage consisting of a combination of two buildings dating back to the 15th and 18th centuries. Nestled in the green valley of Calci, known as "Val Graziosa" for its gentle slopes and lush nature, it overlooks the beautiful panorama of the valley with a view of the ancient Castello della Verruca. The silence of the countryside and the welcome given to our guests ensure a relaxing vacation.

The property has a swimming pool, with summer opening, a garden with barbecue and gazebo, and a ping-pong table for farmhouse recreation.

The Ruschi Farm, since 1700, has been continuously dedicated to the cultivation of olives and producing extra virgin olive oil. The oil produced has organic certification since the 2013-2014 campaign.

The farmhouse consists of two apartments for 4/5 guests and a double room, pleasantly furnished.

Riccio is an apartment that includes a kitchen, a double bedroom and a room with two beds with the special feature of being able to create two rooms with a double bed and addition of the third bed, bathroom with shower. In addition to fridge-freezer, stove and oven, the kitchen is equipped with microwave and kettle.

In the oldest part of the house, the Volpe apartment has a large living room with kitchenette and large fireplace, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with an additional bunk bed, bathroom with shower. The wood-beamed ceilings and neat furnishings make it especially cozy. The kitchen, in addition to a stove, oven and fridge-freezer, has a microwave and kettle.

The Tasso double room, on the other hand, is ideal for couples who wish to stay overnight on the farm, even for short periods. It has a mini-bar, kettle for herbal teas, tv-sat; in the bathroom, there is a hair dryer and shampoo-shower.

In the restaurant, on reservation, dishes are made with local and/or Tuscan raw materials, cooked according to tradition.

The farmhouse also offers tastings and a bar.

It is possible to book a tasting of the farm's own organic extra virgin oliveoil combined with local products, with a tour of the farm and a description of the production processes.

Other activities include.

- Wine tasting with visit to wineries in the Lucca and Pisan hills: A visit to the vineyards and wineries to learn about the production process from harvesting to bottling, narrated directly by the winery owners. Immediately following, guided wine tasting.

- Kayak sit-on-top: The excursion alternates between stretches of calm waters where it is pleasant to be lulled to others where the currents get faster and the waters run swiftly between rocks and pebble banks.

- Sailing along the Tuscan coast: Skippers will be happy to accompany and teach guests the rudiments of sailing within the Cetacean Sanctuary between the Secche della Meloria marine protected area and the pristine coastline of the San Rossore Migliarino Massaciuccoli Park.

- Guided tours of local beauty: Discovering Monte Pisano with passionate local guides. It is possible to experience lesser-known places, flavors and traditions of the most famous cities of art (Pisa and Lucca), world-renowned monuments (The Charterhouse of Calci) or walk the ancient streets of small country towns and fortified villages hidden in the quiet of the Tuscan landscape.

- Paragliding flight (tandem or tandem) in Tuscany, near Pisa.

The town of Calci is in the heart of the Monti Pisani, distant from Pisa 12 km and Lucca 24 km. From these two cities, via highways, you can easily reach other Tuscan cities: Florence km 96, San Gimignano km 84, Siena km 147, Livorno km 20, Volterra 68 km.

The beautiful beaches of Marina di Vecchiano, in the Migliarino- San Rossore Natural Park, are about a half-hour drive away.

For those who love walking, the Monti Pisani offer many paths that can be traveled on foot or on horseback or by mountain bike, among olive groves, ancient sites and enchanting views all the way to the sea.

A 15-minute drive away are the San Giuliano spas with which the agriturismo has an agreement.

The owner, a resident of the same property, is available to guests to suggest itineraries and activities in the surrounding area.
