The agriturismo

Located in Santa Luce, at the heart of the Pisan hills, this typical Tuscan farmhouse was renovated with respect for its original style.

The farm, which grows olives, wheat, oats and fodder, also includes a vegetable garden and orchard, from which guests are welcome to help themselves to produce, totally free of charge.Guests also receive a welcome gift containing samples of the farm's produce (“Olio Nuovo” freshly produced oil, wine and pasta).

The accommodation

The two-room and three-room guest apartments all enjoy independent entrances, access to the large garden with barbecue, bikes, outdoor tables and chairs, umbrellas, loungers, hammocks and a children’s play area, kitchenettes with gas hobs, ovens, dishwashers, fridges and small freezers. One of the three bathrooms is equipped for disabled guests, and bathrooms include walk-in showers. There are also washing machines, heating, TVs, extra camp beds for infants, high chairs, fans and parking in the immediate vicinity of the apartments.  The Mimosa and Oleandro apartments are adjoining via an internal door and can be booked together.

Activities and surrounding

Guest can enjoy horse riding lessons and excursions at nearby riding centres and schools.  There are also discounts available at the agriturismo’s partner spa centre, the Terme di Casciana, as well as a neighbouring farm for tasting wine and typical produce, the Livorno aquarium, and a nearby restaurant (700 m) for Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations.Guests can explore the vines and the olive groves through the different seasons, and observe the harvesting and pressing of the grapes and olives.

The Lago di Santa Luce Nature Reserve is just 10 minutes away on foot or by bike. 20 minutes takes you to the sea at Castiglioncello, while the Lama Tzong Khapa Buddhist Temple is just 15 minutes away. Florence, Volterra, Lucca are all accessible in around an hour.
