Agriturismo Il Polveraio is nestled in the Tuscan countryside overlooking the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea and theTuscan Archipelago. Olive trees are grown on the farm, some of which are centuries old, and a very good Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced. The agritourism structure is divided into three housing units, completely independent, including two studios and a large three-room apartment. The main house is a historic building dating back to the 11th century AD. The farm has been in operation since 2004, and the company has gained deep experience in welcoming guests from all parts of the world. The main feature of the facility is peace and tranquility and is therefore appreciated by anyone who wants to spend a vacation away from the hectic and deafening pace of the cities.
The main house is a historic building dating back to the 11th century AD.
Casa Villa is located within it. It is a portion of a rural farmhouse that is on two floors, with a large living room, a winter garden, a large master bedroom with bathroom and an eat-in kitchen. All around is a garden of about 1,000 square meters.
Casetta Lucia and Casetta Marianna are two independent studio apartments that are part of the annex. They are equipped with all comforts, with kitchenette, double bed and two single beds on the loft, full bathroom, air conditioning and heat pump heating. They enjoy beautiful views of the sea and hills and overlook a large park, each with its own veranda for outdoor dining.
Each accommodation is equipped with WiFi and a private parking space. The whole area is fenced and protected by an automatic gate.
The farmhouse is located in the open countryside, in the middle of an olive grove, but very close to the town of Montescudaio where there are small stores selling typical local food products, bars, excellent restaurants and pizzerias. The most beautiful beaches of the Etruscan Coast are a few minutes drive away, as are the embarkations to visit the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago: Elba, Capraia, Giglio. Very close to us are: the Etruscan city of Volterra, rich in its historical and artistic heritage; Pisa with its monumental beauties of the Piazza dei Miracoli and the Tower; the most beautiful art cities such as Florence, Siena and Lucca; the charming historic port city of Livorno; and the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico directed by Andrea Bocelli. Due to the natural conformation of the area, guests find trekking and cycling excursions very welcome.
