The agriturismo

Agriturismo La Grotta is a unique place, immersed in 18 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and woods, in the typical Tuscan landscape.

It is located very close to wonderful cities such as Pisa and Lucca. Staying at La Grotta farmhouse allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the landscape, direct contact with nature, learn about agricultural uses, and taste the typical products of the farm and the territory.

The accommodation

The farmhouse has all the comforts for a wonderful vacation, including a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by olive trees.

The accommodation has 2 double rooms, one of which has a fireplace, in which it is possible to add a bed. Also available are apartments, a large hall of Tuscan architecture used for socializing and taking meals.

The hall is equipped with Wi-Fi for wireless Internet access.

The farm is situated on a hill in the Pisan mountains about 150 meters above sea level with a magnificent view of Pisa, its plain and the sea and the Apuan mountains. On clear days it is possible to admire the island of Gorgona and Corsica.

The farm is immersed in a large olive grove, in a naturalistic context of great value; in fact, the mountain of which it is part is strongly animated by a rich fauna (buzzards, hoopoes, birds of various kinds, porcupines, wild boars, badgers, squirrels, foxes, etc.). The farm, due to its location benefits from a special microclimate that allows the presence of orange, lemon, grapefruit and other fruits.

A large pink pepper tree is also present. Within the farm there are also nature trails in both the cultivated areas and the large forest. Guests can also use thelarge swimming pool.

Activities and surrounding

The swimming pool in local stones is 15meters for 6 provided of a beach and waterfall is placed in a bigterrace in a part of our olive trees field from which it is possibleto enjoy of a magnificent sight on Pisa, on the pisan plain and onthe sea from Livorno to Versilia.

It will be possible to organize evenings with tasting of the products of the farm and the territory.

In the months of September, October and November is possible to attend at the grape and olives harvest and live a really unique experience. Not far from Pisa's international airport (20 min.), from the center of Pisa (15 min.) and of Lucca (20 min.), from the seaside of Marina di Vecchiano (20 min.); sight on the landscape of Pisa until the sea, from Livorno to La Spezia and part of the tuscan archipelago, Apuane mountains and Corsica. Florence is just one hour far. Because of it's strategic position it's not far from Cinque Terre, Versilia, Lerici and Porto Venere.
