The agriturismo
In a panoramic position set in the hills in the heart of Tuscany, the agriturismo boasts an enchanting view of the surrounding hills and the town of San Miniato al Tedesco.
Offering warm, homely hospitality, its location is perfect for getting to the major towns and cities in the area, such as Volterra, San Gimignano and Siena.
The accommodation
The large farmhouse, surrounded by the lands of the estate, has been painstakingly restored, keeping the original wooden beamed ceilings and bare brick, furnished with arte povera pieces; it offers some bedrooms and 3 independent apartments with living room and kitchenette and 2 double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom.
Dinner, served in a spacious room with large fireplace, gives guests the chance to sample the farm’s own produce (extra-virgin olive oil, red wine, mushrooms and truffles, vin santo and homemade desserts...).
The crowning feature of the agriturismo is its large chlorine-free swimming pool with panoramic view, set on the highest ridge of the hill and surrounded by olive trees and broom.
Activities and surrounding
The estate is next to the Santa BarbaraPark, which includes a lake for recreational fishing (with tackle), and to the famous Santa BarbaraMotocross track, which is home to national and international competitions.
Plenty of trails wind through the vineyards and woodlands, which can be followed on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, with the chance to take a break in the estate’s own pine wood.
Besides visiting local villages and art cities, guests can experience food and wine tours.
