Valle Antica Ospitalità Rurale is a family-run farm. Since 1998, it has been organically cultivating a 10-hectare farm consisting of an olive grove, orchard, vegetable garden, pasture and woodland, situated within an area of " fauna respect " where hares, pheasants and roe deer can live free and protected. Dormice, squirrels and various species of birds populate the oaks in front of the house.
Goats, horses, sheep, Monterufolino horses and Amiata donkeys , mostly endangered breeds, and farmyard animals are bred. There is the possibility to buy the products of the farm . Fruit, vegetables, olive oil, eggs among the main ones.
On the first floor of the farmhouse lives the family, on the ground floor there is theapartment intended for agritourism hospitality. Consisting of large kitchen-living room with fireplace , two double bedrooms for a total of four beds, bathroom, also for disabled people, large outdoor area with pergola . Completely free from architectural barriers and open all year round. All rooms are equipped with heating and the wood for the fireplace is provided by the company. Hot water comes from a solar energy system and electricity is produced by the photovoltaic system. The farm does not offer restaurant service, but the apartment is autonomous and perfectly equipped for cooking.
Valle Antica is located 12 km from the thermal baths of Casciana and is an excellent starting point to reach the cities of art: Florence 80 km, Siena 70, San Gimignano 50, Pisa and Lucca 40, Volterra , Livorno and the Tyrrhenian Coast 30.
For those who love walking , through a path among the fields it is possible to reach the Badia di Morrona, ancient monastery of the Camaldolese monks (XI century). In the Parco dell'Alta Valdera there are interesting archaeological sites rich in Etruscan remains, Romanesque churches, medieval villages, crossed by the "Stradadel Vino delle Colline Pisane" of which Terricciola is an unmissable stop.
