The agriturismo

The agriturismo is nestled in greenery, surrounded by hills and woods for walking or mountain biking. Within the 140 hectare estate, guests can reach the lake, an ideal spot for picnics or fishing.
Guests can also use the panoramic swimming pool, green areas with hammocks and toys for children. The restaurant offers cooking with typical local organic produce.

The accommodation

The result of the painstaking renovation of an old farmhouse, located near the ancient Etruscan town of Volterra, rustic flavour is combined with modern amenities such as the swimming pool (12 x 6 m) and free wi-fi.
The two-room apartments measuring about 40 m² are equipped with bedroom, private bathroom with shower, living room and kitchen. The larger apartments measuring 70 m² consist of two bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower, living room and fully-equipped kitchen and satellite TV. Private entrance, rustic Tuscan-style furniture and independent heating. Cots for children are available on request.
For outdoor lunches and dinners, the agriturismo offers guests garden furniture for private use, located on the apartment terraces and, for communal use, in the farmhouse garden.
The rooms overlook the surrounding hills, organically farmed by the owner himself.

Activities and surrounding

Volterra, with its monuments and museums, can be reached in 10 minutes while, by taking the SS 68, San Gimignano is 20 minutes away. Florence, Siena and Pisa can be reached in under an hour while the Cecina coast is 40 minutes away.
The roads are scenic and there is little traffic, even in the middle of summer. Volterra in the summer is filled with events such as the medieval festival, concerts and shows. Do not miss the Etruscan museum and shops displaying objects created by the alabaster (stone typical of the area) craftsmen.
