Or better, a stupendous farmhouse nestled in Val D’Orcia to come home to after a lovely day under the Tuscan sun or relaxing at the spa of San Casciano Bagni. You’ll be happy to be back, because someone’s waiting for you, perhaps in the kitchen, preparing an unforgettable meal.
The accommodation
Located in the province of Siena, in the heart of Tuscany, this agriturismo is on a farm that dates to the early 1600s. Restored between 2007 and 2010 by the Fabbrini family thanks to a noteworthy renovation, today this agriturismo is able to offer its guests an ancient atmosphere enriched with all modern-day comforts that will make your stay unforgettable. Complete with a vegetable patch, vineyard, olive grove, fruit orchard, and a splendid outdoor pool, the garden rests upon the slopes of the Sienese countryside, between the Valdichiana and the Val d’Orcia, in the Municipality of San Casciano dei Bagni, famous for its ancient Roman baths and the more modern Fonteverde, a contemporary Natural Spa Resort.
The double rooms with master beds and private bath are all different in color, furnishings, and location, but all have the same comforts with great attention to details. The colored walls allude to the paints used years ago in the stables of the ancient farmhouse. The doors of the rooms, with their ancient locks, are original period pieces. The large open space on the ground floor, with its bookshelves, TV area, parlor, fireplace, dining hall with large and small tables, is in fact at the disposal of all the guests and is, along with the nearby kitchen, the heart of Casa Fabbrini. An agriturismo that truly has all you may need to feel pampered like on vacation but at ease like at home.
The cooking is the strong point of this agriturismo. Not only do guests, who keep returning here, agree but also Agri@tour, the Salone Nazionale dell’Agriturismo e dell’Offerta Territoriale, where Casa Fabbrini came in at number 3 out of 20,000 farmhouses in competition..
