Nestled in the nature of the Val d'Orcia Natural Park in Radicofani, the estate was an old horse post.
It stands on a hill, and the 18th-century farmhouse, renovated while preserving the original structure, with wooden beams and stylish furnishings, is surrounded by olive trees, fruit trees and vines. Outside there is a swimming pool with solarium.
You are accommodated in 2 apartments both with private area in the garden equipped with barbecue: the main accommodation (150 sq m 6 3) is on 2 levels and has 3 double bedrooms with private bathrooms, kitchen, living room (80 sq m) with tables for 16 and sitting area. The fireplace also allows for barbecuing.
The second apartment 80 sqm 5 3, is communicating with the main accommodation if you wish, but is still independentand consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms, living room/kitchen with fireplace fully equipped with double sofa bed.
Outside there is a swimming pool with solarium. The 2 lodgings from June to August are rented together (11 4 places) or separately (5 3 and 6 3), Saturday to Saturday, without breakfast; during the rest of the year both the apartment and the rooms with private bathrooms can be rented, even for short periods and on B&B basis.
The agriturismo is ideally located for exploring the Orcia Valley: 30 minutes takes you to Montepulciano, S. Quirico d'Orcia and Castiglion d'Orcia, and just a few minutes away you’ll find Radicofani, with its fortress which offers 360°views from Mount Amiata to Lazio. Radicofani is also home to bars, restaurants and shops.
There are also several spa centres nearby, from Chianciano to Bagno Vignoni, Montepulciano and San Casciano dei Bagni. Lake Bolsena and Città della Pieve are just 40 minutes away, and Orvieto, Perugia and Castiglion del Lago are all within an hour. The region also has a host of delicious delicacies to offer, such as cheeses, wines and oil.
Florence and Rome are 150 km away, and 90 km takes you to Siena. The sea at Montalto di Castro is just an hour away, and 40 minutes takes you to Mount Amiata (1875), the perfect place for skiing in winter. The Etruscan sites of Chiusi, Sarteano, Cetona and Chianciano are not to be missed, and the Via Francigena passes right through Radicofani.
