Medieval mill in the heart of the Crete Senesi, a few kilometers from Siena, the farm offers swimming pool, playground for children, organic breakfast, cooking classes, bike tours, wine tours. Pets are welcome.

The owners grow and produce organic vegetables and fruit, organic extra virgin olive oil (AIAB certified) and truffles.

The farmhouse offers its guests 5 apartments, all with Wi-Fi.

Il Cipresso: the largest apartment (140 sqm), consists of 3 double bedrooms (with the possibility of extra bed or beds with bars), a large living room with sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom with shower and bathtub. The apartment is fully equipped (crockery, pots, pans, etc..) and equipped with bed linen, towels and tableware, independent heating, TV. It is located on the second floor of the main building and from its windows you can enjoy the beautiful view of the village of Serre di Rapolano and the countryside of Chianti Senese. 

Il Gelso: its location in the heart of the medieval farm makes it the most fascinating. It consists of a double bedroom (with the possibility of an extra bed with bars), a living room with sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom with shower. The apartment is fully equipped (crockery, pots, pans, etc..) and equipped with bed linen, towels and tableware, independent heating and TV.

I Pini: recently renovated apartment furnished with sober elegance. It consists of a double bedroom (with the possibility of an extra bed with bars), living room with sofa bed and fireplace, kitchen, bathroom with shower (also equipped for disabled). The apartment is fully equipped (crockery, pots, pans, etc..) and equipped with bed linen, towels and tableware, heating and television. The apartment has a large independent and fenced garden. 

Il Pomo: with 2 double bedrooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms. TV in both rooms, heating. It is on the ground floor and has a private fenced garden.

L'Albicocco: is the latest arrival at Molinello; it is an apartment completely renovated in green building, classified in energy class A. It 'consists of 2 double bedrooms, living room with kitchenette, private garden and fenced, 2 bathrooms. It has satellite television in the 2 bedrooms, heating, a courtyard with barbecue and small private garden and fenced in front of the pool. 

The structure also offers guests a swimming pool, independent green space, washing machine, wood-burning oven, children's playground, nature trail, organized activities, barbecue, mountain bike rental, organic vegetables and fruit produced by the hotel, guided nature walks, green weeks.

Wine tasting courses are also organized to discover the main Tuscan DOCGs and DOCs.

You can join the weekly program of activities proposed by the managers to discover the colors and flavors of the Crete Senesi.

At the Rapolano thermal baths it is possible to have mud-bath therapy, inhalations (from April to November), physiotherapy, beauty treatments and massages (all year round). In summer, the thermal pools (also open after dinner) are ideal for relaxation and well-being of the body. On request it will be possible to visit the adjacent Etruscan tomb of Molinello, a particular travertine mound, which together with the others present in the area, is an interesting attraction.

The Crete Senesi are a great sea of clay that extends southeast of Siena, in a succession of picturesque and rounded hills, where the few woods leave room for endless expanses of wheat and pastures, able to change color with the change of seasons. The Crete Senesi are a world in their own right. If someone has defined them as "lunar" it is because they have not visited them in spring, when the explosion of nature makes the fields similar to green waves that foam beaten by the wind, or in autumn, when the ploughs of farmers bare the clay soil, with its purple riflessi.

Land of agriculture and shepherds: it is not by chance that it is famous for its pecorino "cheese", as unique as the unmistakable taste that the wild herbs burnt by the sheep give to the milk. Land of olive trees, which here produce the precious DOP oil "Terre di Siena". And of truffles, since in the Crete area there is one of the rarest and most precious white truffles in Italy. There is little stone in this clayey region with endless horizons.Everything or almost everything is built of bricks and then clay: from the beautiful farms that stand isolated on the summits, affiancati by sparse cypress trees, up to the magnificent monuments that mark the territory as cardinal points, the Abbey of Monte Oliveto (real spiritual capital of the Crete Senesi, with the beautiful cloister frescoed in '500 by Sodom and Signorelli) to Grancia di Cuna, the castle of San Giovanni d'Asso to the walls of Buonconvento. Only in Rapolano, land of thermal baths and travertine, the "stone" is the master.

Stone and brick meet admirably, finally, in Asciano, the secular capital of this area, where next to the fourteenth-century Sienese walls and the Romanesque architecture of the basilica of Sant'Agata are matched by the artistic treasures of Palazzo Corboli, glorious medieval palace transformed into a rich museum.
