The agriturismo
In the immediate vicinity of Asciano, you will find the farm overlooking the beautiful scenery of the Crete Senesi, an area in the province of Siena, located halfway between Chianti and Valdorcia .
Also known as the "Accona desert", it starts from the southern outskirts of Siena and ends immediately after the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore. In summer you can enjoy beautiful expanses of wheat or sunflowers, interspersed with red patches of poppies and yellow patches of wild raspberries.
In this uncontaminated and wild territory, it is possible to spend a relaxing holiday in contact with nature and art.
The farm, divided into two farms, produces extra virgin olive oil , red Tuscan IGT, as well as honey, fodder and in summer different types of vegetables .
The accommodation
It has 6 apartments of various types, all furnished with family furniture, but with modern kitchens and accessories.
The farm has a 6mx12 swimming pool , large furnished garden, private parking, games for children, ping pong table, barbecue.
The Internet point is free as well as the WI- FI connection. Linen and cleaning are included in the price. Heating is paid on consumption. All rooms and apartments are equipped with air conditioning. ROOMS ARE CLEANED DAILY. Reception 24 hours a day.
The owners Fabio and Maria Teresa, Tuscans for all generations, live on the farm and are available to their guests to pass on their knowledge of local traditions and customs.
On the farm, there is also a small restaurant, reserved for their guests, open all year round where it is possible to rediscover the flavours of old Sienese Tuscan cuisine and spend pleasant evenings tasting the region's wines. Much of the farm's success is due to the typical cuisine reserved exclusively for their guests. In fact, it is frequent that regular customers, during the low season, come on weekends to enjoy traditional Tuscan dishes or taste the new oil or wine.
That's why autumn here takes on a special flavour. This is the time to enjoy dishes such as gnocchetti with truffles , veal fillet with porcini mushrooms , pappardelle with wild boar and pici with ragu, all accompanied by our own wine.
Activities and surrounding
We have an agreement with the thermal baths of Rapolano and with the nearby 'bicycle centre'. Restaurant, tasting area, lounge with satellite TV.
Ideal also for weekends in winter thanks to the nearby thermal baths of Rapolano Terme. Since the nineties, the farm has been a fundamental support point for cyclists and motorcyclists from all over the world who want to visit a part of Tuscany with its rugged and beautiful landscapes.
