c.s. le piane 1, 53023 Castiglione d'Orcia (Siena)
The agriturismo has developed around a country home dating to the 18th century, built in typical Tuscan stone and located amidst the hills of the Parco della Val d'Orcia. Guests may enjoy strolls on foot or by bike, guided excursions, or relaxing at the pool. The large centuries-old oak tree offers its shade to guests in search of tranquility and who want to read a good book. Itineraries unfold amidst the Monte Amiata, the Terme di Bagno Vignoni and San Filippo, Monte Oliveto, Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza and many other villages.
The farm’s flats all have a bedroom, kitchen, and private bath. The Appartamento Quercia overlooks the olive grove, and has a rustic Tuscan fireplace in the kitchen and large sofa bed. The Appartamento Spiga may host two people; Olivastra is intended for the physically challenged or families with small children; plus, it has a garden and private veranda, independent entrance, and fireplace. Girasole is a double room with private bath, offering a splendid view of the starry sky from the bed. At the farm we grow olives, grapes, and grains. Our extra virgin olive oil, mushrooms, and fruit can be tasted onsite. Shady areas for relaxing, including our pool (72 sq m), with umbrella and lounge chair for each guest.
Near the agriturismo you may take pleasant walks in the Val d'Orcia and at Monte Amiata; upon request you may organize excursions on mountain bike, with a guide. 20 km away you’ll find a spa, offering massages and wellness treatments; you may even take a dip in their spa water.
