The Roccone is the spur of rock where the Casale il Roccone has been located for over a century and a half, at the centre of the Pigelleto Nature Reserve, at the foot of Monte Amiata, in the province of Siena. It is one of the wildest and quietest places in Tuscany, between the Val d'Orcia and the Maremma.
Surrounded by the dense vegetation of the Nature Reserve of Pigelleto il Roccone is a skillfully restored farmhouse that is spread over 3 floors with the ground floor living room with fireplace, dining room, a 'large and fully equipped kitchen and a laundry room, adjacent and communicating also a private chapel consecrated. On the upper floors there are 6 spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Heating is combined between LPG and wood, with the possibility of programming its operation during the daytime. Around the panoramic garden, a comfortable yoga room of about 50 square meters set up for recreational activities (with a large screen and projector), an old wood-burning oven, a large barbecue area and a pergola for dining outside in summer. 60 € per person half board per person.
The nature in this place can be experienced in every season with great intensity, it is in fact the ideal site for practicing Forest Bathing and to enjoy the view from the water even in winter thanks to the outdoor ecological wooden pool that has a capacity of 7 people. the entire area adjacent to the farmhouse is completely fenced and encloses a centuries-old chestnut grove that during the autumn gives chestnuts and porcini mushrooms. The structure is particularly suitable for families and groups of medium size, has a beautiful kitchen equipped and externally a large barbecue and wood oven. Separated from the house there is a yoga room of about 50 square meters with video projector and large screen, for recreational activities, study and related to psychophysical well-being (meditation, yoga, gymnastics, Italian courses). On request it is possible to rent minibuses and cars for the movements and the different activities of the groups.
