The agriturismo
Relais Riserva di Fizzano is an ancient 11th-century hamlet owned by the Rocca delle Macie winery, situated on a hilltop in the heart of Chianti Classico. Located near the Via Francigena, halfway between Siena and Florence and a few kilometers from San Gimignano and Volterra, the Relais is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and is the ideal place for a vacation in contact with nature. At the Riserva di Fizzano guests will have the opportunity to spend their days in a unique and enchanting place, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, pampered by an attentive, present and discreet staff that will assist them and try to satisfy their every need.
The accommodation
The Relais consists of 6 buildings that include 19 apartments (two- and three-room apartments), gardens, large green spaces, a chapel, two swimming pools, a bar and a restaurant.
The careful renovation of the buildings in the Riserva di Fizzano has preserved the pre-existing structure, trying to recover details from the past that give each apartment a distinctive character: old mangers, terracotta floors, ceilings with wooden beams, large fireplaces are just some of the details that personalize the apartments.
Two-room apartments have one bedroom, bathroom and living room with kitchenette, while three-room apartments have 2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 bathrooms and living room with kitchenette. All furnished with understated elegance in rustic Tuscan style, the apartments enjoy wonderful views of the Chianti Classico hills and its valleys. The kitchens are equipped with everything you need for cooking, and on request you can use the sofa beds located in the living room of each apartment.
Guests can enjoy two beautiful swimming pools overlooking the vineyards where they can relax in the sun or under umbrellas, sip a glass of wine at sunset overlooking the towers of San Gimignano. Large green spaces where children can run and play freely, away from danger. Possibility to rent bicycles (not available on site) for a ride through the vineyards and to follow one of the marked hiking trails that pass through the Fizzano properties. In summer, possibility of dining under the stars-all this and more at the Fizzano Reserve.
Activities and surrounding
Guests are offered many free services. At the reception desk you will be able to find all the information you need to get around the Chianti region: from practical advice on how to get to a location to detailed information on festivals, events, museums, and transportation schedules. Reservations are made for excursions, shopping tours, guided tours, museums, horseback riding, wine tours, cooking classes and many other activities. All Fizzano guests are also offered a 20% discount on guided tours of the Rocca delle Macie winery with tasting of wines produced on the farm and our BIO extra virgin olive oil. In addition, it is possible to purchase typical products such as oil, wine, honey and grappa produced by the farm and available at the wine shop in Rocca delle Macie with a 10% discount only for our guests.
Riserva di Fizzano is the ideal starting point for pleasant excursions in central Tuscany, with San Gimignano, Certaldo, Monteriggioni, Volterra and of course Siena and Florence.

Rooms are very nice, but unfortunately you can not eat outside at the restaurant and if you try, the food is taken away. Reason: out of respect for the people who eat indoors?? food is expensive, portions small. Conclusion: restaurant is not recommended!
