Built by the Spannocchi family in the 15th century and owned by the Cinelli family since 1925, Spannocchia is not only an agritourism but a unique and original place, an architectural complex of historical value and anorganic farm of 440 hectares where efforts have been made to preserve the original identity of its places with minimal restoration while maintaining its rustic and genuine beauty.

Theorganic vegetable garden, olive groves, vineyards and semi-wild stateraising of animals defend a sustainable model of living in tune with nature. Nestled in theAlto Merse nature reserve, in the province of Siena, it is the ideal place to enjoy a vacation in a rural and unspoiled environment and also the starting point for visiting well-known and lesser-known places in Tuscany.

The main complex consists of the main villa with medieval tower from 1225 and historic garden,13 rooms with bathrooms, restaurant and swimming pool. Seven restored farmhouses stand in the 440 hectares, respecting local architectural traditions, each with its own style, large indoor and outdoor spaces, and simple, functional but not luxurious furnishings.Each house has a fully equipped kitchen, linens, wi-fi, and pool towels.

COOKING LESSONS

The lesson includes: visit to the organic vegetable garden with explanation of cultivation methods, harvesting of vegetables for recipe preparation, cooking lesson with expert guidance from the cook, creation of a complete menu from appetizer to dessert, convivial lunch enjoying the prepared dishes.

CINTA SENESE TOUR & TASTING: Guided tour to learn about one of Spannocchia's excellences.

The Cinta Senese, a native breed of pig since the Middle Ages, was reintroduced after facing extinction in the 1980s, and its meat is now sought after worldwide. The tour includes a visit to the farm and processing room where the meat is processed and cured meats are made, and concludes with a guided tasting of six of their most famous cured meats.
