The agriturismo

The agriturismo is a farmhouse located within the walls of the castle of the same name. Renovated with respect for Umbrian tradition, the property enjoys 360° views of the Umbrian-Marche-Tuscan Apennines, part of a farm rearing animals and growing cereals and fruit.

 

The agriturismo provides mountain bikes for nature trails through the valley and easy-to-follow maps. Guests can taste farm produce, forage for truffles with guides, take part in truffle dog training or enjoy a cookery class.

The accommodation

The agriturismo has 2 apartments and 2 rooms which can be adapted to suit the number of guests and their needs, with independent entrances and outdoor space. Hairdryers are available on request.

 

Maiale: room with bathroom and the option to add an extra bed and room with bathroom and kitchen.

Gallina: room with bathroom and the option to add an extra bed and room with bathroom and the option to add two extra beds.

Riccio: independent entrance, direct access to the grounds and veranda.

 

There is also a swimming pool (10x5 m), open from June to September (depending on the weather), surrounded by a large solarium with sunbeds and umbrellas, in a scenic spot in the valley below the property.

In the garden you'll find wooden benches, tables and chairs for picnics, and quiet corners for relaxing. There is also a lounge with open fireplace and a children's play area.

 

The restaurant, open to guests only, offers local specialities prepared using the farm’s own produce. Breakfast (biscotti, tarts and homemade jams or, on request, a selection of local produce) may be enjoyed outdoors or in your apartment.

Activities and surrounding

The agriturismo is 3 km from Pietralunga and close to Gubbio, Montone, Umbertide, Città di Castello and Sansepolcro. Half an hour takes you to Perugia, Arezzo, Assisi, Fabriano, the Frasassi Caves and Lake Trasimeno.

Nearby you will also find shops, bars, newsagents, laundrettes and the agriturismo’s partner riding centre, with the possibility of discounts for guests.
