The agriturismo
The Casella del Piano farmhouse is located in the countryside of Gubbio, just 4 km from the historic center. The Casoli family is the owner of the structure since the early '900 and since 1996 has started to take care of reception by renovating the old farmhouses to start the farm holiday. The structure is divided into apartments equipped with all comforts, a small and welcoming wellness area with turkish bath, sauna and whirlpool; a restaurant with fireplace where you can taste the typical Umbrian recipes prepared with the products of our farm. Over the years, the structure has been enriched with numerous services to enliven the stay of our guests: two swimming pools with furnished solarium, games for children, tennis court and five-a-side football, bowls, table tennis and golf practice.
The accommodation
The farmhouse is located in Gubbio, in the splendid Umbria. It belongs to the Casoli family since the early '900 and, still today, the same family manages it with passion. Suitable for family vacations and in contact with nature. The apartments are equipped with every comfort and the facility is full of services to meet the needs of adults and children: from the restaurant, where to taste the typical Umbrian cuisine with zero km products, the two pools with solarium furnished, from the wellness center to the farm Didactics, tennis courts and children's games to a golf course.
Activities and surrounding
The nearby town of Gubbio offers numerous cultural and natural attractions. Very impressive is the Palazzo dei Consoli where there is also the civic museum, Piazza Grande which is the largest hanging European square, the gorge of Bottaccione where the iridium, the dinosaur museum, the ducal palace and the duomo were found, the Basilica where the body of Sant'Ubaldo is exposed in a crystal urn. For those who love nature, it is possible to go walking and cycling along the CAI paths, in the nearby Monte Cucco you can do many activities: from the visit to the caves, to the trekking on the fly with the hang glider. Moreover Gubbio is well connected with Assisi, Perugia, Umbertide, Montone, Città di Castello, but also with the Caves of Frasassi and Fabriano. So Gubbio is an excellent base for excursions in the neighboring cities.
