The agriturismo

Not far from Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Spoleto and Siena, this charming historic residence enjoys a hilltop location with spectacular valley views.

Guest accommodation is provided in tastefully furnished apartments which preserve some of the medieval castle features. Nestled in large grounds with two swimming pools, this is the ideal spot to enjoy life at a slower pace.

The accommodation

Protected by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage for its historic value, a skilful renovation process has preserved the original features of this property, which boasts four towers nestled in a hamlet of rare beauty. The comfortable and spacious rooms, suites and apartments feature terracotta flooring and exposed wooden beams to the ceiling. Almost every room and apartment with an entrance on the ground floor has its own private garden.

 

The restaurant serves typical Umbrian and Italian dishes, served in beautiful medieval lounges, and in the morning you can enjoy exquisite breakfasts of local produce such as jam, prosciutto, cheese and fruit and vegetables from the organic vegetable garden. In summer breakfast is served under the pergola with views of Perugia.

Activities and surrounding

On the estate itself guests can enjoy cookery classes and wine tasting, and the agriturismo can arrange sessions with a truffle hunter or producers of olive oil or fresh and aged cheese makers. An electric buggy is available for guests to explore the beautiful landscape around the castle and to visit the Monte Vibiano Wine Cellars for a tasting session.

From the farm, on foot or by bicycle, you can explore medieval hamlets along ancient Etruscan and Roman trails, or visit two forests which have remained untouched for thousands of years, with wonderful earth pathways to follow. A trip to Assisi and LakeTrasimeno is highly recommended.

Within 30 minutes of the agriturismo you’ll find two Golf Clubs which cater for both amateurs and professionals, as well as two riding centres just 2 km away. In the Monti Sibillini Park you can enjoy rafting, hang gliding and mountain biking.
