The agriturismo
A 19th century stone farmhouse, just outside Assisi, converted with complete respect for the original architecture. Guest accommodation in rooms and apartments, with half board available, on a 20 hectare farm which produces cereals, vegetables (from its organic vegetable garden), outstanding olive oil and wine.
The accommodation
The guest rooms are doubles, with spacious bathrooms and wooden beams. You’ll also find TVs, and some rooms also include fridges and air conditioning. The private access apartments include kitchens and bathrooms.
Outside you’ll find a wood burning oven and a grill for preparing delicious meals, as well as a vast garden filled with trees, where your children can play in their own private play area with swings and slides, while the grown-ups relax with a good book, or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool (12 x 5 m, open from June - September).
The restaurant with external veranda serves delicious delicacies which vary daily, prepared using seasonal ingredients from the farm itself and other certified local producers. There’s a communal lounge with a library, cards, board games and a small children’s games area with cushions.
Activities and surrounding
You'll find an educational farm with a range of animals, from dogs to goats, ponies and more. Guests can enjoy cookery classes and riding lessons, as well as guided tours of Il Podere d’Assisi and other local farms.
Visiting nearby Assisi is of course a must, but be sure to take a trip to the Monte Subasio Park, Perugia, Gubbio, Spoleto and the region’s fortified hamlets too.
