Voc. San Salvatore, 27, 06026 Pietralunga (Perugia) Code
Since 1991 the Martinelli family has managed, under the banner of sustainable tourism and organic agiculture, the former monastery of San Salvatore, overlooking the Carpina valley in the Pietralunga Forest. Here guests can buy the farm's organic products, enjoy the specialties of the 0-km restaurant, engage in educational activities in the Garden of the Magician, and unforgettable walks, horseback rides or bike rides.
It has electric vehicle charging station.
The 8 guest rooms located in the main house comprise: terracotta paving, wooden beams, niches and old open fireplaces and comfortable Arte Povera style furniture combined with modern technology, such as internet access, flat screen TVs and kettles for preparing herbal teas. There is also ample beautiful communal space, from the dining room with large open fireplace to the reading room with small library, the music room, the “biobar” organic bar with veranda, the swimming pool and the barbecue area.
You'll also find further accommodation in the Old Hayloft - 2 mini-apartments surrounded by gardens - and in the Balucca country house - 8 tastefully furnished rooms at the heart of the farm (with goats, sheep, piglets and barnyard animals). There is also a large apartment with 2 rooms, a kitchen, a garden and private parking.
Silvana’s traditional cuisine (with gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and children’s options also available) uses local, organic produce and ingredients from the farm itself, also available for guests to purchase in the shop along with “Magician’s Garden” nature posters and the must-have illustrated manual of “leaf peeping”, written by the owner.
On the organic farm guests can relax around the sunny acorn-shaped swimming pool, enjoy archery among the oak trees, visit the small educational nature oasis known as the “Il Giardino del Mago” (The Magician’s Garden), stroll through the Pietralunga Forest (following the map or with Gino as your guide), enjoy horseback excursions along the Ippovia Umbra bridleway and take part in cookery workshops.
Nearby you’ll find the medieval hamlets of Pietralunga and Montone and cities of art such as Gubbio, Perugia and Assisi, to name just a few.

Hi, I am Gino Martinelli and I am 56 years old.
I have been managing La Cerqua since 1991 with my family.
As well as we cook for the guests, we take care of the crops, we rear the animals.
It was a desire to to live in nature which led me to run an agriturismo.
According to the guests, the best thing about our agriturismo is the food.
