The agriturismo
Agriturismo Podere Tresa, in Umbria, on the border with Tuscany, in the municipality of Città della Pieve, is immersed in a highly evocative natural setting, at the center of a farm with a large olive grove, an orchard, wheat and sunflower fields, oak and bamboo forests. Ideal for groups of families and friends, with various communal spaces for getting together, it is like a small hamlet, on top of a hill covered with olive trees, cypresses, pines, and oaks, with a typical stone and brick farmhouse, oak-beam ceilings and terracotta floors, the view sweeping from Mount Cetona to Lake Trasimeno and a fantastic panorama of all the surrounding countryside. You can see the stars, wonderful sunrises and breathtaking sunsets. The owner, Maria Laura, is an environmental hiking guide.
The accommodation
Theentire structure is rented: four apartments (Cypress, Pine, Oak and Olive), together with the convivial living room and communal kitchen, with access to the garden and panoramic view, the various equipped outdoor areas, the terrace, the playroom, the laundry, the covered area for car parking , the large garden with lawns and olive trees, the playground, the sunny swimming pool (6mx12m) with panoramic view, open from May to early October. It is possible to inquire about renting one or more apartments, 20 days before the stay, in case the whole structure is not rented out. In summer, the entire structure is rented for one or more weeks.
Activities and surrounding
Agriturismo Podere Tresa offers absolute silence to those who enjoy a vacation of complete relaxation and, at the same time, the opportunity for excursions to places of considerable artistic, historical and religious importance such as Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, etc. In addition, it is possible to engage in excursions to many places rich in artistic and scenic jewels, often little known. The farmhouse is located in the municipality of Città della Pieve, a fairytale medieval town, an oasis of emotions, art and well-being in which to rediscover the charm and flavor of the authentic and genuine life of the past. There are evocative trekking and mountain bike trails suitable for all needs. Upon request, it is possible to participate in hiking and biking excursions, accompanied by an Environmental Hiking Guide (AIGAE), in Val di Chiana and Val d'Orcia, to Mount Cetona, at Lake Chiusi, the Montepulciano Lake Nature Reserve, Lake Trasimeno, and visit many of the most beautiful villages in Italy between Umbria and Tuscany: Città della Pieve, Paciano, Panicale, Castiglione del Lago, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Cortona, Chiusi, Montepulciano, Monticchiello, Pienza, San Quirico D'Orcia, Bagno Vignoni, Cetona, Sarteano, Radicofani, San Casciano dei Bagni - spa, etc. The presence of riding stables also allows for horseback riding excursions. Finally, one can attend multiple cultural and recreational initiatives (concerts, theatrical performances, local festivals).
