The agriturismo
We offer hospitality in recently renovated farm buildings, in a friendly and cordial atmosphere for relaxing in the mild Vastese climate. The environment is very scenic and quiet, just minutes from the beautiful beaches of the coastal Punta Aderci reserve and 10 minutes from the center of Vasto. We are three km from the exit "Vasto Nord" of the A14 highway.
The accommodation
Arkadia is a name inspired by Peloponnese classic region of Greece, fabled by the poets bucolic, characterized by lovely countryside, serene, idyllic life scenarios that are also found in the memory of those who, many years ago lived and worked these fields.
The farm is located in a secluded location but within easy reach, on the edge of a plot of about 20 hectares mainly cultivated with vineyards. Available to our guests there are 5 bedrooms, all en suite, for a total of 16 beds. The furniture in Arte Povera in the ancient style Vastese are simple but comfortable.
There is a small playground for children, with a swing, a slide and a sandpit in wood. Parking is very large and the whole is immersed in an oasis of peace
Activities and surrounding
The farm is within the protection zone of the Reserve Regional Coastal "Punta Aderci" whose beaches are within easy reach: the farm as the crow flies is about 900 meters from the sea but to access the free beaches of Mottagrossa (pebble ), Punta Aderci (pebbles and sand with rocks), Punta Penna (beautiful sandy beach, which was awarded the Blue Flag in the last three years) I suggest to get there in a few minutes car drive.
We must not forget that we are along the coast of "Trabocchi", antique fishing equipment, whose magic lies in their very structure, suspended between land and sea, evidence of a civilization tied to family-type fishers. Another natural resource in the vicinity, in the territory of the Municipality of Pollutri, is the nature reserve of "Bosco di Don Venancio" which represents the last remnant of the ancient lowland woods in the area, in whose immediate vicinity is a riding school. Even the mountain is near: about 60 km to the Majella National Park, a place of frequent excursion: the highest peak is "Monte Amaro" 2793 meters high.
A short distance from arkadia agriturism there are a small artificial lake for fishing, an airfield for light aircraft, the largest water park in the center and south and a little more distant, a go-kart track. Termoli is 30 km from where you can embark for the islands Tremiti.
There are numerous religious sites: a few minutes drive, in the Municipality of Casalbordino, there is the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles, in Vasto in the Church of St. Maria Maggiore is kept the Holy Thorn; Lanciano (km 35) houses the relics of the Eucharistic Miracle; in Fossacesia (km 20) is the historic and panoramic Cistercian Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere overlooking the bay below; in San Giovanni Rotondo (km 120) there is the Shrine of Padre Pio.
In Vasto there is the Archaeological Museum that together with the Roman Baths and many other historical elements present in the town testify to the ancient origins of the city (in the same arkadia farm were found of the finds of a Roman villa of the second century). It's possible to find numerous sites of archaeological interest even in the little towns not far from Vasto . For lovers of medieval history it's possible to visit the castles of Monteodorisio (km 15), Palmoli (km 32), and a little more distant ones Roccascalegna (km 48), Casoli (km 45) and Crecchio (43 km).
