Contrada Santo Stefano, 67/C, 70043 Monopoli (Bari) Code BA07203051000017004
1 km from the sea and 3 km from the splendid historic center of Monopoli, in the quiet of the countryside, among centuries-old olive and carob trees, dry stone walls and Mediterranean scrub, 3 matrimonial lodgings have been created in a traditional Apulian farmhouse. The small farm run by Gisella (agronomist) with organic methods produces extra virgin olive oil, fruits and vegetables.
Only b&b service is offered. Dinner is reserved for accommodated guests only if agreed in advance.
The farmhouse is very close to the city center and the sea where it is possible to enjoy traditional dishes in trattorias that Gisella can recommend.
A peasant farmhouse with typical Apulian architecture: thick walls of whitewashed tufa, local stone floors, wooden windows shaded by reeds, nestled in a centuries-old olive grove amid the heady scent of lentisk and wild thyme. The rooms have modern comfort and period furnishings. For guests, 3 double bedrooms are available. Each bedroom has a large bathroom with window and shower, exclusive veranda overlooking the olive grove, independent entrance, underfloor heating and cooling, safe, Smart TV, free Wi-Fi (NB: the rooms do NOT have a refrigerator).
The garden and parking are available to guests.
On request, the owners can send you an events calendar, and arrange guided tours of cities of interest. Monopoli, with its port, ancient hamlet, cave churches and beautiful monuments, restaurants, trattorias and night life, is just 3 km from the agriturismo, accessible on foot or by bicycle. The coast to the south of Monopoli offers sandy coves and cliffs, with deep, cool, crystal clear waters, and the long sandy beach resorts of the "Capitolo" district are just 5 km away. Within easy reach you'll also find Polignano Mare (8 km), the trulli dwellings of Alberobello (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Castellana Caves and the Fasano Zoo Safari, and the Itria Valley — home to Ostuni, Martina Franca and more — is just 20 km away.
