In the old houses of the settlers we have obtained the 10 rooms for our guests, with natural mortars, with total reuse of materials already present: old boards, bricks and fixtures of 1800
. Here nothing is left to chance and there is a perfect combination of green building and Feng Shuy
, where rest in healthy environments is sacred.
In winter the rooms are heated with ancient fireplaces and forty-eight solar panels that heat the floor, in summer they are cooled in the floor with the reuse of rainwater.
The beds are made entirely of solid wood (pine and olive) and for the most part are positioned with the headboard facing north, as taught by Feng Shuy and the wisdom of our farmers, with raw cotton sheets, not chemically bleached, natural latex mattresses mite and hypoallergenic, pure wool blankets and Danish duvets.
Solarenergy heats the rooms and the water in the bathrooms, where olive oil soaps, produced by skilled artisans, leave the skin with the delicacy and fragrance of the past.
Each room has its own fireplace, reminiscent of ancient family stories.
Its forty chimneys, its scattered trulli and its cave tell the story of the people who have lived, worked and rested in this place with its infinite view.
The whole farm can be visited and each visit will be made by experts in the field: agronomist, regional eco-environmental guide, tourist guide, because nature needs to be told and the impact on the inexperienced visitor could be strong.
In our traditional Apulian cuisine we use organic products from the farm and everything is cooked in the huge wood-burning oven, located in the large farmyard in the centre of the farm.
We organize seminars, meetings, educationals of various kinds as well as guides with personalized itineraries and tasting of typical products.
The farm is located in Montegrosso (a hamlet of Andria, province of Bari), on a hill 300 metres above sea level, in the heart of the Bari Murgia. It is 18 km from Castel del Monte, 16 km from Andria, 14 km from Minervino Murge and Canosa di Puglia, 22 km from Barletta and 30 km from Trani.
